The photo beside is a combination of an eagle with a fish. This merged appears to be irrelevant because it creates a conflict where human have no solution on how to maintain this eagle-fish to live. It question human being because both of these live in different places/environment. So we've no idea whether to keep it half dipped in water or so.
Class Exercise: Analogy Exercise
Love is like Red Chilli,
The more you have,
The spicier it is,
As spicy as it could be unforgettable.
Pain and death are part of life,
Like an ice cream when it melts,
It represent pain and death.
Love is like a credit card you can use it continuously,
However, once it's used over the limit,
You will suffer all your life,
That goes same with love.
Happiness is like a clock,
It is nothing more than a inner peace and memories,
Like the clock where it never stops ticking 24 hours daily.
Love or Pain is like a cat and duck,
We don't believe in rheumatism and true love until encountered the first pain,
Like cat and duck which always fight.
Life is like a candle,
We must always be thankful for everything we experienced before it ends.
Man is as hard as mortal and pestle,
So tough that they hardly breakdown,
Man is very strong as they easily melt one's heart.
Reflection of class:
Sometimes we can combine things to create something special and extra ordinary. But always there will reach an extend where some things are impossible to merge or it's life will not retain. What I learnt is we must always think beyond the possibilities and not do anything against the nature.
Apart from that, I learnt that analogy means making strange things familiar. The examples are shown above where different things can represent love, life, happiness, and even human being, man and woman. So as a creative student, we can learn to turn things that are familiar to something unfamiliar or vice-versa. Hence juxtaposition is an important process which we should rely on.
